[29 May 2026] Awards Ceremony- Tutor Training Course
A special awards ceremony took place at Ballykisteen Hotel outside Tipperary Town recently to celebrate a group of 15 people who successfully completed the Irish Sign Language (ISL) tutor training course.
15 students graduated on Friday evening, 29 May 2026, at a proud and joyful occasion from the Tipperary Town Sign for Future project.
Hands of Harmony- Deaf Community Choir
Hands in Harmony is a Deaf community choir using their first and preferred language, Irish Sign Language, to express themselves through music.
Disability Awareness- Sign of the Times Videos
The “Sign of the Times” project was initiated between community healthcare and local authority services and the Abbey CBS secondary school in Tipperary Town. This excellent project won the Eirgrid sponsored “Disability Provision” category in the annual Chambers Ireland Excellence in Local Government Awards 2019.
Irish Deaf Society- Sign Language Classes
We provide fun and easy ways to learn ISL. We teach ISL for every age group and our classes take place at the Deaf Village Ireland and in primary and secondary schools, universities, public departments and private business throughout Ireland.

Irish Sign Language (ISL) Online Courses for Beginners. These online courses offer you a flexible and accessible way of learning from the comfort of your own home.
Midwest ISL Hub- Limerick City
Promoting participation of the deaf community in education, community, social and cultural activities, with Irish Sign Language as the main language of communication. All are welcome here! The Mid West ISL Hub believe that greater access to ISL would be a huge step forward for deaf people.

This programme is suitable for individuals who wish to develop skills in Irish Sign Language for effective communication with deaf or hard of hearing relatives, employees and customers in a variety of situations.
